Environmental Commitment

We are conscious that the actions of each and every one of us have an impact on the environment. Here at Evergreen we are committed to providing an excellent quality of service for our guests whilst also minimising the environmental impact of our business activities. By doing so we hope (albeit in a small way) to help maintain the wild beauty of Loch Ness for the enjoyment of visitors and local people alike.

A symbol of our commitment is our membership of the  Green Tourism Business Scheme. Under this scheme we have achieved a Gold Award, the highest grading of which we are justifiably proud.

At Evergreen we aim to:-

Adhere to good environmental practise in all business activities
Ensure that the business meets the minimum requirements set by environmental law and fulfil its legal duty of care requirements for waste disposal
Aim to achieve sustainable environmental improvement

To achieve this, we have implemented a variety of general measures as follows:-

Use of household cleaning products which do not harm the environment
Use of environmentally soaps and detergents for laundering bed linen and towels
Ensuring that efficient use of energy is undertaken within the business by purchasing "A" energy rated appliances
Purchasing of a range of recycled goods
Recycling a variety of household products
Providing a natural habitat which encourages wildlife
Promoting a no smoking environment for the benefit of our guests
